Property Division

This page is available for pre-decree cases. It lists all assets and debts, and provides you with option to divide the property between the parties.

For each property, you can do the following:

• Assign the entier property to one of the parties using the 100% buttons.
• Split equally between the parties using the 50%/50% button.
• Enter any custom percentage by typing it directly into the percentage fields.
• Enter any custom amount by typing it directly into the $ amount fields.
• Exclude the property from the totals.
• Provide a custom comment for each property. This comment will only appear on the Property Division spreadsheet.

Every time you make a change, the system calculates the property balance between the parties, and updates the page header.

Press the Download Spreadsheet button to download a live spreadsheet that can be altered during negotiations.

Press the options button to customize the generated spreadsheet.

Auto-Calculation

Enable the auto-calculate switch to auto-divide all unassigned property between the parties. The auto-calculation function divides UNASSIGNED assets and unsecured debts between the parties. It does not modify your assignments!

It assigns separate property and SPI to the owning party, if set. It then balances out the difference between the parties. If there are assets and debts left, it divides them equally between the parties.

The auto-calculation runs every time it detects a change to a division, or when an asset or debt balance changes.
